Sections And Divides, Mixed media, 2017

 

 

Research based upon the process of cooking, the way in which a certain ingredient reacts to the constant change in its environment is what Sections and Divides is based upon. Solely, looking at 'eggs', using a mixture of acrylic, oil and glue the work seeks to find meaning in the failures that occur while we cook rather than the end result of it.

 

 

The 'eggs' made up of paint is created with a recipe just like how one would cook an egg, in order to show the process and evolution of the subject, the paint is manipulated through colours, sizings, tearing, textures and folds that occurs while we cook or present food.
